IMPORTANT:

This site enables Buyers to list what they want.
This site enables Swappers to list what they want, and to list what they have so swap out.
Sellers should be here to respond to a buyer request. Likewise Sell-side Swappers.

In short this is not just one of the millions of internet shops - we're here for the buyers and swappers who want stuff. Please be aware of this basic principle as you get in and read the explanations below.
Sellers, please don't bother getting on our case because you can't list your wares easily - you're not meant to be trying that on:-) While you're here, though, please consider listing your own requirements - you may be able to do a better deal on what you buy to sell through listing you requirements - Wannabuy isn't restricted in terms of what can be negotiated to finality in any manner.

For Buyers

If you want to buy something you come to the www.wannabuy.com.au site and choose a category of goods or services relevant to what you need by clicking on a category. You then register as a buyer on the site by adding details of your requirement and contact information in the forms provided.  The Wannabuy site then lists your requirement as live on the Internet.  Details provided are maintained only as long as your requirement remains active. They are not maintained on-line for security reasons.  Click on Buy here or above for help with registering.

For Sellers

If you have material you want to sell you check the www.wannabuy.com.au site for material you can supply and find buyers waiting for your contact by searching in the form provided. When you find a buyer you can supply, you register as a seller to that particular buyer by clicking on the buyer listing and supplying your details to www.wannabuy.com.au on the form provided.  Details provided are maintained only as long as the buyer requirement remains active. They are not maintained online for security reasons.  Click on Sell here or above for help with registering.

Code Issue: secret Wannabuy business

You are given an internal Code by the Wannabuy site, which will remain active until either a transaction is completed or the code allocated is automatically timed into computer oblivion. When a seller and you are matched by a response to a requirement, a Deal Code is hatched by Wannabuy. You then use your allocated Deal Code in all further communications relating to that seller pairing.

When you contact  a buyer, you will do so using the Deal Code, which is allocated to a buyer-seller link.

The Wannabuy site allocates a code for each interested seller, linking the buyer requirement to the specific seller.  Many sellers can register an interest in a registered buyer requirement and each seller is given a unique code to associate their sell intention and the buy requirement, which the relevant buyer can use to communicate with each individual seller.

Buyers may request direct Seller contact (Buyer Reveal)

When you register, you can specify "Buyer Reveal" and www.wannabuy.com.au will divulge contact details to any seller who pays the discounted up-front introduction fee.

Any sellers who opt to respond to this type of requirement can contact the buyer direct. This process will not close out the buy requirement, since other sellers may wish to register an interest and may or may not take up the reveal option.

Please note that the Buyer Reveal option needs to be used with caution.  If you take this buyer option, sellers who respond to the option will be given your contact details on payment of the introduction fee and will contact you direct.  From then on, all your dealings with that seller will be devoid of the protection of the Wannabuy secure webmail system.  In short, exercise all normal care for any email not originating from the www.wannabuy.com.au site.

You can take the option of contacting a buyer direct if the buyer specifies "Buyer Reveal" on registration.  In this case, you will be requested to pay an introduction fee immediately after registration and, upon receipt of that fee, you will be given the contact details of the buyer whose requirement you have selected.

If you do not select the reveal option you will be able to contact the buyer anonymously through the Wannabuy site and negotiate your deal in the standard manner.

For Buy-side Swappers

The first swapper to register is the buy-side Swapper. This registration is in the category of the goods or service you require and a second category is available to you to nominate for goods or services you have to swap out.  Click on Swap here or above for help with registering.

For Sell-side Swappers

Sell-side swappers can respond to a listed swap requirement and can see what the buy-side swapper wants, as well as the category of goods or services the buy-side swapper has to offer.  Click on Swap here or above for help with registering.

A little more detail on swapping

In the basic swap system, you, as a buy-side swapper, place your requirement on the site, the same way as a standard buyer registers.  However, you select to be a swapper and you should place a note as to the material you have to swap out in return for your requirement in the box provided. You have the option of listing those swap-out goods or services in a separate category and that material will be listed on the site, alongside your buy-side swap goods and your normal buyer requirements. This means that there are goods 'available to swap', but not for sale in the conventional sense on the site, accessible to anyone browsing the categories.

In this way, someone willing to dispose of any goods or services can advertise goods as a swap available.  Of course, you must first list what you need in return.

Haggling

You as a buyer, seller or swapper NEGOTIATE a deal through this site. This process will be carried out by email.  Negotiations take place using the Deal Code, via the www.wannabuy.com.au server.  Since the email traffic is strictly controlled by the Wannabuy site and cannot include attachments, this process is most of all 'safe' for everyone.

Going public

You as a buyer or buy-side swapper advise that you are ready to do a deal with a seller or sell-side swapper by selecting Done Deal.

You as a seller or sell-side swapper advise that you are ready to do a deal with a buyer or buy-side swapper by selecting Done Deal.

You as a buyer or seller, or both sides of a swap must advise this done deal circumstance for Identity Details to be exchanged, unless the buyer and associated seller have opted for the Buyer Reveal service. In that special situation, the buyer has in effect agreed to negotiate directly with the seller who has also opted to use buyer reveal in exchange for a introduction lower fee.

The Done Deal phase

You as a buyer, seller or swapper have reached an agreement to the point where you want to know each other's contact details. The purchase or swap should now occur if you are certain that you have a deal and you want to be introduced.

At this point, except for sellers using the Buyer Reveal service (as discussed above), introduction fees are payable by the seller or both swappers - NO ID DETAILS WILL BE EXCHANGED UNTIL THESE FEES ARE PAID.

Fee payment

If you are the seller or a swapper you now pay an introduction fee and in the process you must nominate the all-important Deal Code linking you to the transaction stream with your dealing partner.   Go to Fees for more information.

Following the receipt of this payment, the www.wannabuy.com.au site emails all relevant parties a subset of the data provided by each when they registered.  Go to Payment for more information on methods of payment.

A deal is done between Buyer and Seller, thanks to Wannabuy!

Once you as a buyer, seller or swapper have been introduced that is the end of the www.wannabuy.com.au involvement in the deal.

Wannabuy continues its unique service to the internet community!
